Outside the Box
Outside the Box
What's inside the box anyways? A desk job... Working under the big boss... Being grumpy all the time... Is that really what living is for? Being commanded to do this and that all the time. Outside the box is where it's at. No one to tell you what to do... You get to do what you love... Now that's a life worth living for! More and more people are starting to realize that the "box" is actually really boring. They want to have a job they love doing. They want to tell themselves what to do. So what will you do? Live life in the box... Or jump out and actually start living... It's your choice... Only you can decide that for yourself!

Why Handmade and Not Commercial?
Why Handmade and Not Commercial
Handmade is worth so much more than any commercial bought item. With handmade items, the creator actually takes time into what their doing. It may take them six hours to do one thing for an order, while commercialized items are made with one touch of a button. Which would you rather have? A handmade item that was created with time and love, or a commercial item that has had no thought put into it and is just made with a push of a button.
Sure, some may argue that it costs a lot less to buy that same item from a huge store than a small business, but you have to go behind the scenes to see why. Handmade items require supplies, time, and effort. If it takes the person four hours to make a bead design, then that goes into the cost of the item. Wouldn't you be mad if you spent all that time to make that product and not get paid for it? Yeah, so would everyone else. So, think about it like this: four hours to finish a product, twenty dollars to get those supplies, and ten dollars to ship that product. Wham! That's at least forty dollars right there! Commercial items can be made within ten seconds and the supplies cost ten to twenty cents each. That's exactly why a necklace can be ten dollars at a large company store and forty dollars at a small business.
As small business owners, we depend on every view, favorite, order, and sale that comes in. That money goes towards all the bills and food to feed ourselves. What do the big companies get out of those sales they make? More money that's what! They don't have to count every penny they make and put it all towards bills. Maybe you can understand why small business owners would rather support others like themselves than the big companies that take money in greed. Please choose to support the local small businesses in your area than the huge companies located all around the world.
